Our Anniversary

Our anniversary was a huge success and so much fun.  I took off the Saturday before so I could get "honey-dos" done and not have to worry about anything on Sunday or Monday.

I actually have to start with the Thursday before our anniversary.  I started looking at the weather and noticing it was going to be a nice warm Spring day. That really throws a wrench into a hairy legged crossdresser's plans.  I knew we were planning some shopping or sight-seeing and would be out all day.  I didn't want to sweat.  So I did what any red blooded CD would do.  I asked for permission to shave my legs.  I know it seems innocent enough, but wives, it seems, feel they "lose" their man when we shave our body hair off...especially the chest hair.  That has to grow back soon because B really likes the chest hair.

With approval to shave my legs, I went at it on Thursday.  Our shower really isn't big enough to bend over and shave your legs so the bathtub gets my vote.  I soaked in a very hot tub for a while and shaved away.  No problems except the nick on my left knee.  Make that bony knee.  Oh well, the price of war. I wore my purple silky tank-top blouse and black skirt.  I wore purple flats I have had for a while that complemented it all.

Our 1st (and only) appointment was at 11 at our makeup session.  B set this up months ago.  She met this lady at a networking meeting and they seemed to hit it right off.  Off to Garland we go.  Penny was awesome.  She did my makeup, she made a special bottle of foundation that matched my skin type, and she also did my wig.  In a past profession, she was a beautician.  She also did wigs.  Well, she teased up my wig and hairsprayed it in place.  It was "Texified" but I loved it.  Instead of flat, it had LIFE.  She also did B's hair after doing her makeup.  I'm definitely going to one of her makeup classes soon.

When we left it was just after 1pm.  We went to the Italian restaurant there next door.  We were disappointed.  The shrimp B got was not good at all.  My plate was fine.  What tickled me was the insurance place across the street.  Check out the picture:

Do you think many of client's dying words are "Hey y'all. Watch this"? They are then removed from the "gene pool".  Ha!

We left there and went into Dallas to the Daisey Polk Inn where we were staying for the night.  This is a great little B&B in a part of town that is accepting of CDs.  It's right around the corner from Sue Ellens.  If you stay, get the Reagan room.  It has queen bed.  The bathroom is across the hall, but has the claw foot tub.  The other rooms have private baths with just showers.  One has a balcony. Awesome place to stay but don't expect much for breakfast unless you pay extra.  $20 is more than I want to pay, although I think Michael would be the best chef to have cook for me.

On another note, if Bruce was still talking to me, I would set him up with Michael.  They have the same personality and mannerisms.  AND, Michael had a bunch of chest hair.  Bruce likes bears. I could play match maker.

We rested for a little bit while I figured out where to go.  B wanted to treat me to a pedicure.  Excited I was (although I am cheap frugal and didn't want to spend the $$). I found the Bishop Arts District as the place to go.  We could get our nails done, do a little shopping, and eat.  Well apparently nobody told them we were coming and everything closed down around 5:30pm.  I was disappointed.  The nail shop was open, HOWEVER it had bars on the windows and we didn't like the look of it.

So I find the wig show Jackie told me about on Lemmon ave.  We went in there and looked around.  Didn't find anything that screamed Buy Me Now.  We went two doors down to the nail place.  It had bars on the window also (should have been our 1st clue).  The sign in sheet for pedicure hadn't been used in a couple days (should have been our 2nd clue).  That was $22 per person that was just average.  B said it could have been SO MUCH BETTER.  Well....I can't wait until better.

We left there and went to eat down the street at Marios Mexican and Salvadorian.  That was good food.  I'm glad it made up for the poor lunch food.  If you are on Lemmon ave in Dallas, check it out.  When we got back to the B&B, I saw Black Eye Pea and said we should have eaten there.  Next time we will know.

We took A LOT of pictures, although I wanted more outfits and poses.  I think we ended up with 160 pictures.  Since I don't have Photoshop, I downloaded Gimp which is free and just as good.  I'm all about free.  I've spent tons of time editing pictures.

Of course some many of the pics are NOT going to be posted here.  I run a PG or PG17 blog.  We had some much fun doing pictures and everything.  The next morning, breakfast was blah.  When Patrick said "continental" breakfast, I'm thinking Lincoln Continental and a big breakfast.  Well, it was biscuits and jam/butter with juice.  I understand they used to charge more for the room and the large breakfast was included.  Just want to set your expectation on that one.

We came home Tuesday and I can't wait until our next outing.  B told me today she liked my shaved legs.  I plan on keeping them this way for a while.  Our teenager asked me about them today.  I told her that mom dared me to shave them after I made a comment about her unshaven legs and I went through with it.  I then told her that her and her husband would do many things her kids think are weird and you will just smile and think back to this time.  I didn't tell her about the pedicure when I had the chance.  It is bright red, so not easy to hide.

The Meetup group I am a member of is doing some shopping trips on Sunday afternoons soon.  I am going to try and get in on these.  Not sure how I am going to get out of the house with the teenager here.  Also, we have Prom coming up.  What royally sucks is B has to work and no good way to get out of it so we are not going to be able to go.  I was really looking forward to it.  I was looking forward to finding a prom dress :o).  On of my friends is going with a girl from Sue Ellen's club who will be dressed as a guy.  That is awesome.

If all goes well, come 2 weeks I will get out of the house and do some shopping.  As for our anniversary....HUGE SUCCESS.  Trying to keep that endorphins high right now.

Be Blessed.

Awesome Night Out (Part 2)

Part 2.....

The show (Turnabout at 1851Club where men dress as women and women dress as men) was supposed to start at 10.  The club is a hole-in-the-wall bar with a space for dancing or shows, a few tables, a single pool table and two small bathrooms.  I wanted to play pool (because I can ROCK the pool table), but the people playing were either too drunk to play or just bad pool players.  So I skipped the pool table.

Of course the show didn't start at 10.  It was closer to 10:30.  Not a lot to say.  Guys and girls (as girls and guys) lip-syncing to top 40 songs and collecting money for LGBT charities such as a teen suicide prevention program. They love to perform and do a good job.  Think of it as jazzercize. :o)

Side note to the night.  Maybe SAD note would be more appropriate.  Last time we went to this club (Turnabout was playing again) we met Mia and Eve.  Eve is a crossdresser and this bar is where she feels comfortable.  Mia could easily be labeled a cougar.  She was fun if not a little (lot) aggressive.  She was there supporting Eve.  Well we saw Eve again last night.  She was with two other CD friends.  One was very convincing.  I really wondered if she was transitioning.  What made me sad was how miserable all three of them looked.  I didn't stare at them or anything, but when I looked at B (and I do that a lot) I could glance over at them.  Never a smile, not a one.  So....here right now I will make a pronouncement.  If you as a crossdresser get to go out (and especially if you get to go with either other CDs or a supportive friend) then have fun.  Fun and smiling go hand in hand.  Giggle, joke, smile, talk, flirt, just have fun.  This is your time outside the closet doors.  Make the most of it.

We left around 1am.  We decided to not close the bar down this night.  Paid my tab, tipped the bartender and out the door.  On that note, when the bartender takes care of you, take care of the bartender.  And if you want to make it OBVIOUS, pay the first round in cash and tip big then start a tab for the rest.  It's a little manipulation, but hey...it works. I asked B where she wanted to go.  She wanted to go get some groceries after getting a bite to eat.

We wanted some place sit down (at 1am mind you).  We drove down this road for 5 miles and found nothing.  Pulled out my handy Android powered smart phone and searched for Denny's.  It was the other way.  Turned around and passed the club again.  Turned left to go to Denny's and could not find it.  Looked at my phone again and it was Denny's Towing.  D'oh.  Did a search for Ihop and found one down by the mall off of I20. It was farther than I liked, but reasonable.

This stop really made the night.  There were some teenage boys in the waiting area of Ihop that made a comment to each other when we walked in, but ignored it. They sat us and our waitress Erika came to take our order.  "What can I get for you ladies to drink." Oh that sounded SO SO SO good.  We decided to split an omelet and pancakes.  When Erika brought back our food, she had the omelet cut in half on separate plates.  I asked for salsa and she brought it right out, offering more which I declined.  She was attentive and an awesome waitress.  I did the survey online and told Ihop they need to give her a raise before a competing place like Papasitos scoops her up.

B decided she wanted to go home instead of shopping.  I was fine with that.  I was tired also (old married folks).  I kissed her and told her she was awesome and Candi was coming to bed with her.  She asked about the wig and fake nails.  I said yes but I was taking the fake lashes off.  I don't think I'm doing fake lashes again.  1. I would like some cute glasses for my look and lashes are not conducive to glasses.  2. They are a pain in the ass to put on and take off.  I'm sticking with mascara.

Another side note.  When I was in the bathroom the 2nd time, a thumb nail popped off and landed in the toilet.  Well I wasn't going in after it, and even if I did, I didn't have any adhesive.  I only brought lip stick (which I didn't need to reapply, thank you Revlon).  I looked at my other hand and saw the thumb nail on that hand was missing also.  Well Damn.  Oh Well.  When I got home to get ready for bed, I found the 2nd nail in my tights.  Guess it came off at the same time as the 1st one. I'm just going to paint my nails next time.  I love the fake nails, but not sure if it's worth it for the night.  If I could go all week and not have to do contacts, then maybe fake will work.
I got my contacts off even with nails on.  One more reason to get Lasik or at least some prescription glasses. I would really really like to get Laik but $1500 I don't have.  I forgot and left on the lashes until this morning before church.  I also had the nails to work with this morning.  My toes are still bright red and I LOVE them. But I need to take care of that before work this week since they will stand out A LITTLE at the gym.  I slipped on my favorite black nightie to sleep in, rolled into bed, and we both crashed. No sex after a long night out.

Today I had to take off my lashes, nails, all the makeup (eye liner is a bitch to get off in the shower). I need to wash my wig so it's ready for our anniversary.  I can't wait.  That was our night.  It was SSSSOOOO much fun.  I can't wait to do it again.

Blessings,

-Candi

Awesome Night Out (part 1)

OMG!!??!!  We had an AWESOME night last night.  Daughter was on a church retreat all weekend so I took Saturday off and was en femme for the day.  What a joy and so much fun.  B had to work most of the day, so we only got to spend the evening together.  That was alright though.

In my last post I put what clothes I had picked out. Well that changed only slightly.  The stockings I originally had were more "fishnet" and I didn't like those so I went and got some solid black with a seam up the back.  I LOVE that look.  However, when I put them together with my denim skirt, there was a slutty malfunction. My skirt comes up just enough to show the tops of my thigh-highs and depending on how long I sit, the straps too.  B voted that down.  I think if I would have pushed she would have voted me off the island (giggles). She pushed for tights instead of thigh-highs.  Well.....she was right and I was glad.  Although I did like that look some (maybe more than some), it was good to be a little more modest.  Also, it was COLD.  When I first stepped outside and the cold hit me, I told B she was right and the tights were a good choice.  Other than that, the outfit was great.

Before we left, B made a statement. "We are really fucked up.  You are getting all primped and pretty and I'm just throwing together an outfit."  My response was "We may be fucked up in the eyes of society, but we are perfect together." I got a nice smile from that.

I do not have Breast Forms (yet) but I do use the padding from special medical bra I inherited.  They fill out the C cups nicely.  I wore the matching white lace bra and pantie set and B and I bought.  We got one set for her and one for me; especially for this night.  Well the bras were a wordrobe malfunction waiting to happen.  B didn't like her bra. It was actually a little too big (surprising since she is really a DDD) and it had an underwire, which she hates with a passion.  That quickly came off and she wore the non-underwire semi lacy (and semi sexy) bra I bought her a couple weeks ago.  Now since I had been dressed most of the day, I already had my malfunction.  I asked B to sew some pockets into the bra for my padding.  She didn't get a chance.  Therefore, everytime I bend over my breasts go from sexy on the chest to fugly on the belly.  We were able to overcome this problem my safety pinning the bra cups together.  It worked perfectly.  I didn't have any "bounce", but I also didn't have any movement or worries about losing myself.

The Turnabout show (guys dress and girls and girls dress as guys and there is a drag show) at 1851 Club was scheduled to start at 10pm.  We didn't leave the house until after 9 and I knew there would not be a table available much less a parking spot.  We got there about 15 minutes to 10 and half the parking lot was empty.  I was a little nervous.  Did the show get canceled? Is the club just a hole in the wall bar now instead of a hole in the wall bar with fun shows?

The rain had stopped so we could get in without getting wet (Thank you Lord).  There was a couple tables open waiting for us to take one.  YAY!!  B sat down while I got us drinks.  I asked the bartender what he recommended.  "alcohol" He said, smiling.  Funny and good.  I told him I wanted something sweet, no energy drinks in it and no coffee type drinks in it.  Margarita is a normal choice for us (besides a beer for me when in drab).  He made a fresh margarita and he also recommended a Vodka Cherry Sour, so I got one of those.  LOVED IT.  The margarita was a little stronger and the Vodka Cherry Sour was a little weaker (it was a single) but they were perfect.  I ended up ordering another round.

While ordering, a blonde skinny thing with a cute red dress on commented how pretty I looked tonight.  Made me smile (and probably blush).  I thanked her.  That was too sweet.

End of Part 1.  I'm breaking this up into 2 parts since it's turning out so long.....

I Am So Excited!!!

OH MY GOD OH MY GOD OH MY GOD!!! I am so so so so so so so so so excited.  Can you tell I am excited?  Yes I am excited. Here is how the conversation went:

B: You know I can't keep a secret, right?
Me: Yeah, I know.
B: Well I have something special for Candi for our anniversary.  I am scheduling a make-up makeover for Candi.  It's one of the girls I met at a networking meeting and she is more than happy to do this.
Me: Jaw hits the floor.
B: I'm also looking for someone to take professional pictures of you after the makeover.
Me: Trying to smile, but hard to since chin is literally on the floor.

Yes she does love and accept me and Candi (but I already knew that).  Oh my heart is a flutter.

So many thoughts running through my head....so many things we have to do in the next two months.

* Buy a new outfit
* Buy new shoes (more on this in another post)
* Buy a new wig (I want something more straight than curls)
* Buy lots of batteries for the camera
* Figure out where we are going after the photo shoot (I bet B. has plans running through her head)
* Lose the 15 pounds I'm working on (I WILL do this)
* Mani/Pedi for sure.

I cannot cannot cannot cannot wait for this night.  It is going to be awesome.  We are going to have so much fun.  Oh, and I will give you are the girly details afterwards.

5 Things I Like/Hate about Crossdressing

I ran across this today.  Jessica-Who is a comedian (en femme).  This is the 1st time on her site, but I found this video and just had to share.
Jessica-Who 5 Things

Make-up - Jessica hates this because she didn't grow up getting to learn make-up and how to apply it.  She loves it because of how versitile it is.  I COMPLETELY agree.

Those of us who are CD didn't grow up learning makeup. We need LOTS AND LOTS of practice. Unfortunately (at least in my case) we don't have the opportunity to do make-up as much as we would like.  Without the help of B, my make-up would look horrendous.

Jessica is great.  Check her out when you can.
